Our holidays are available all year round, taken at any time for any length (up to one week) dependent on availability.
Our holidays are bespoke, designed for each individual and may include some instruction, liberty work, tacking up, yard work, depending on your particular requirements. Please let us know when you book.
You can stay for as short or as long as you wish. Generally our riders come for a weekend, and sometimes a whole week, but we have rides to suit all levels of riding as long as you are competent in the saddle at walk, rising trot and gentle canters as a minimum.
As a rough estimate our B&B is £40 per night based on two sharing, and our rides are £50 per half day based on two or more rides. In the winter, the rides are £40 each, and may be a little shorter in bad weather.
Turn a half day ride into a full day ride - supplement (approx 4-5 hours in saddle) + £35
Note: Full day rides only available to riders who have already had at least two half day rides with us and only on a Friday or a Monday. The terrain is challenging for both horses and riders, and we do not wish to expect our riders to spoil their holiday due to too many hours in the saddle!
We also have a student room, where we can offer free self-catering accommodation and some tuition in return for working with the horses. If you are looking for an opportunity to learn a more gentle holistic approach to horse management then this would suit you (minimum age 16 years)
All our itineraries are made according to your requirements, but we have recently ridden the following three-day ride:
Coleridge Way Ride: Leaving our Farm near Porlock, ride over Dunkery Beacon to Wheddon Cross, Luxborough and return via Grabbist Hill back to the Farm - two nights B&B away, three days riding with picnic lunches, and evening meals in the local pubs. This route is approximately 50 miles with some very steep slopes, and in one stretch, numerous gates leading down into Luxborough. However, excellent riding, wonderful scenery, and enjoyable for horses and riders.
Total cost: £350 Available Spring and Autumn
