Take a really spectacular equestrian escape with us at Exmoor Riding.

Our Riding Holidays are some of the most affordable in the world, and with some stunning scenery, on well schooled quality forward going horses.  Our clients for our Riding Holidays come from all over the world, and enjoy some of the best riding countryside to be found anywhere.  Exmoor is a really 'special' place and we and our horses enjoy sharing it with you.

We can offer riding holidays and short breaks of any length, from one night to 6 nights, at any time - we have no fixed itinerary and are happy to cater for your individual requirements - we charge you for what you do!  If you would like a break from the horses why not fly the birds instead, or simply read a book in the peace and tranquility of the garden.  We are surrounded by endless countryside and you can walk for miles.

During your rides you will potentially see birds of prey such as buzzards and peregrines, wild Exmoor ponies, fallow, roe and red deer, with evidence of badgers, and numerous birds on the varied habitats.  A 'built-in' horse-back safari over Britain's smallest and most special National Park.

If you wish you can assist in getting the horses in from the fields, grooming, tacking up - then cleaning and taking out to the field again in the afternoons.  If you wish to do some schooling (unsupervised) during your stay in the afternoons, you can discuss this with Cathy or Hayley when you are here.

In addition if you would like an afternoon session on Bonding and Connecting with your horse, using our arena, agility field, and wild agility area, then you can book into this when you are here.

We have had riders from far and wide - Romania, Hungary, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, France, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, Australia, South Africa, Argentina and Patagonia, Japan, China, and of course the UK!

We are located within the National Trust Holnicote Estate, within Exmoor National Park, and the hill outside our house was planted over 150 years ago as a riding paradise for the Acland family - you can now enjoy this riding paradise with us!
