Ley Hill is situated to the south west of us and can be accessed via quiet country lanes and National Trust woodland paths. Once we start climbing the hill horses and riders are well warmed up, and on reaching the top of around 1300ft (450m) we are on moorland with some splendid cantering tracks. Here you may see circling buzzards overhead, red deer and Exmoor ponies with the beautiful backdrop of the sea and views across to the South Wales coastline. We have a choice of descents into Horner Woods, a beautiful woodland nature reserve famous for its diverse population of bat species, or down through the trees and trails into pretty Porlock Village where we can stop for a coffee or ice cream! Now just one mile from the farm you can enjoy a gentle walk home through the lanes.
