Our Farmhouse - Welcome to Exmoor

Cathy and Rod welcome you to their Grade II listed National Trust bed and breakfast home within Exmoor National Park; Country House style, set in six acres of landscaped gardens and paddocks, in the Vale of Porlock, on the northern edge of Exmoor.

The farm is surrounded by wooded combes, ancient woodland, river valleys, marsh and sea. Enjoy a peaceful, relaxing break in wonderful Exmoor countryside, perfect for a short break or a longer walking or riding holiday.

Welcome Door!

The farmhouse is tastefully decorated, carefully upholding traditional architectural features, such as slate skirtings, original elm floors, ancient and mullioned windows, and an amazing 15th century arched front door. It is believed that the house was built as an open-hall manor house around 1456, on the site of an original dwelling dating back to pre-Doomsday times! Many of the ancient features are still evident in the house.

Your Bedrooms

We can cater for double, twin, triple and single bookings, with family facilities and groups. Our rooms are cleanly and tastefully decorated to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. The rooms have wonderful views across the front garden to the hill beyond, and with private facilities. Much of the furnishings are antique with delightful Persian rugs on the floor for comfort and style, and all are recently decorated. Tea and coffee making facilities are in the room with colour TV, armchairs, and a host of books and magazines available to read. The rooms have seperate spacious and well equipped private facilities, helping to make your stay just that little bit special.
